A 10-member Turkmen media delegation completed a five-day tour of Fujian province on Sept 16, focusing on how the coastal region balances green innovation, local industry, and cultural preservation.

Led by Batyr Gurbanmyradovich Niyazliev, former deputy minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the delegation included representatives from the Turkmenistan State News Agency, major national television stations, newspapers, and online portals.

The delegation's itinerary highlighted Fujian's integration of modern technology and environmental stewardship. In Ningde, the journalists learned about global battery manufacturing at Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL) and visited an exhibition on local poverty alleviation efforts. In Zhouning county, they examined the "three reservoirs + carbon sink" approach — viewing forests as reservoirs of water, wealth, food, as well as carbon sinks.

Economic and cultural integration formed another key theme of the trip. The journalists surveyed marine technology development at the Xiamen Marine High-tech Industrial Park to learn about marine scientific innovation and industrial development. In Fuzhou, the delegation visited Fuzhou Panda World to review international conservation efforts and toured the historic Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, a well-preserved historical and cultural district, to observe urban heritage revitalization.
