Siriwat Pinijpanich, Deputy Governor of Khon Kaen Province in Thailand, visited Fujian from March 2 to 5.
On March 4, Vice Governor Wang Jinfu met with Siriwat Pinijpanich and his delegation in Fuzhou. Wang noted that this year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand, as well as the 10th anniversary of the Fujian-Khon Kaen sister province relationship. He urged both provinces to seize the opportunity and fully leverage preferential policies such as the China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement and the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership to support business cooperation and further strengthen economic and trade ties. Wang also encouraged more exchanges and cooperation in higher education and agricultural technology, including teacher and student exchanges, joint research projects, green agriculture, and agricultural product processing.
Siriwat Pinijpanich commended Fujian’s achievements in reform and opening-up, as well as its economic and social development. He expressed hope to further strengthen communication and pragmatic cooperation with Fujian for mutual benefit and win-win results.
The delegation also visited Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd., Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, Newland Digital Technology Co., Ltd., and the Fujian Asia Pacific Cooperation Promotion to explore cooperation opportunities in new energy and digital technology, rice cultivation and pest control, Juncao technology, and investment.
